Zelensky announces visa regime for Russian citizens from July 1

According to the Ukrainian president, as part of measures to counter the unprecedented threats to Ukraine's national security, sovereignty and territorial integrity, he suggested that the Cabinet of Ministers consider revising the regime of entry of Russian citizens into Ukraine.
Zelensky noted that the Cabinet of Ministers must make this important decision later today.

"According to the planned decision of the Cabinet of Ministers, Ukraine will introduce a visa regime for Russian citizens from July 1, 2022," he said.
In early May, a petition to introduce a visa regime for Russian citizens, registered on the president's official website on Feb. 11, received the required 25,000 signatures.

On May 25, Zelensky responded to a petition and sent a letter to Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal requesting that this issue be addressed.
