Zelensky says he held ‘productive’ talks with Scholz

“(We) discussed the situation on the frontline, further pressure on Russia, increasing sanctions, (and) the prospects for peace,” said Zelensky.

He added that Ukraine is counting on Germany’s further support for Kyiv’s EU membership bid.

Earlier, Scholz said that the West would never accept any Russia-imposed peace deal that would attempt to carve out parts of Ukraine’s territory.
