Zelenskyy arrives in Greece for Ukraine–Balkans summit

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has arrived in Greece to attend the Ukraine–Balkans Summit, Zelenskyy said in his Aug. 21 evening address.

The president also provided a brief summary of his trips to northern European countries, managing to secure commitments to provide Kyiv with critical military equipment.

In Sweden, he signed an agreement to produce CV90 infantry fighting vehicles in Ukraine. In the Netherlands, he secured 42 F-16 fighter jets, in addition to 19 aircraft pledged by Denmark.

Zelenskyy also expressed gratitude to the United States for supporting the international coalition to provide Kyiv with modern military aircraft and train Ukrainian pilots and ground crew.

In addition to the summit, the president’s Greece itinerary has also a series of bilateral meetings planned, including talks with the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen.
