Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy during his visit to the United States held a meeting with some of the nation’s most influential entrepreneurs and leaders of major investment funds, Zelenskyy’s press service reported on Sept. 22.

The meeting was facilitated by the world’s largest investment bank, JP Morgan, which manages assets exceeding $30 trillion.

The primary focus of the meeting was to explore opportunities for engaging prominent U.S. corporations in Ukraine’s post-conflict reconstruction and investment projects. U.S. entrepreneurs and financiers expressed their commitment to making substantial investments in Ukraine once the conflict concludes and security assurances are in place.

Notable participants in the meeting included Michael Bloomberg, founder of Bloomberg LP; Bill Ackman, Chairman of Pershing Square Capital; Barry Sternlicht, Chairman of Starwood Capital; Ken Griffin, founder of Citadel LLC; Jonathan Gray, President of the investment firm Blackstone; Philipp Hildebrand, Deputy Chairman of BlackRock; Eric Schmidt, Chairman of the philanthropic organization Schmidt Futures; and Robert Kraft, Chairman of the Kraft Group.

Zelenskyy also held a separate meeting with Larry Fink, Chairman of BlackRock, the world’s largest asset management company.

The Ukrainian leader arrived in Washington, DC on Sept. 21, where he visited the Pentagon and held discussions with U.S. Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin. He also gave a speech at the 78th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.

Later that day, Zelenskyy visited the White House and met with U.S. President Joe Biden.
