Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has extended an invitation to both President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump to come see the harsh realities of war in Ukraine up close, he said in an interview on Fox News on Feb. 22.

Witnessing the conflict firsthand could help American leaders grasp the root causes and current state of the war.

Noting the stark difference between Ukraine's peacetime beauty and the current war-torn environment, Zelenskyy stressed the value of personal experience.

“I suggest to him [Trump ] — just come,” said Zelenskyy.

“I'm ready to go with him. Maybe he wants alone without me. It doesn't matter from me. Come, see people. Just to speak to them on the streets.”

Zelenskyy addressed Trump's boast that he could end the war within 24 hours, openly doubting Trump's ability to solve the crisis and proposing to host him at the front lines.

“I don't understand how it can be done,” said Zelenskyy.

“He can't solve this problem… of course, I will explain everything and he will explain what he thinks. Maybe he has some ideas. I don't know. But he will see what's going on. And, after that, I think he will change his mind. There is only one enemy, and this is the position of Putin.”
