Zelenskyy may visit Bulgaria this week

At the invitation of the Bulgarian government, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy may visit Bulgaria on July 6, Bulgarian news outlet 24Chasa reported on July 4, citing its own sources.
Details of the president's visit have not yet been clarified, but it is likely to take place on Thursday, July 6, the report said.

The precise timing of Zelenskyy's visit is being kept secret for security reasons, the report added.
Bulgaria was one of two EU countries, along with neutral Ireland, that did not participate in joint procurement of ammunition for Ukraine.

On June 16, newly appointed Bulgarian Defense Minister Todor Tagarev stated that Bulgaria wants to join the EU initiative to provide Ukraine with one million artillery shells in a year.
Following this, Bulgarian President Rumen Radev stated that he considers the country's potential participation in EU’s program of joint ammunition procurement a "mistake."

On July 26, the Bulgarian government approved two decisions to provide Ukraine with a new package of military assistance. The assistance includes weapons and ammunition from the Bulgarian army's existing stockpiles.
