Zelenskyy slaps sanctions on 270 individuals and entities with ties to Russia

Restrictions were imposed on Belarusian and Russian factories and the Russian Railways company.

The new sanctions affect 51 Russians, including scientists and factory CEOs.

The list of sanctioned companies includes divisions of the Russian railway company RZhD, several transport companies, Russian research centers and institutes. Russian factories were also affected, including ‘Elektrodetal’ Karachevsk Plant, Sarapul Radio Plant, and Chelyabinsk Forge-and-Press Plant.

Belarusian factories were also targeted, including Minsk Automobile Plant, S.I. Vavilov Minsk Mechanical Plant, ‘Monolit’ Vitebsk Radio Parts Plant, and Orsha Aircraft Repair Plant.

Cypriot companies were also listed, including Search Location Limited and 2GIS Local Search Limited.

Ukraine’s Navitel, an offline mapping app based in Kyiv, was also included on the list.

The sanctions come into effect on the day of signing and will remain in force for the next 10 years.

The last set of sanctions against almost 500 legal entities and more than 200 Russians was signed on May 12. That list included 13 Armenian citizens, several companies in the British Virgin Islands and Cyprus, Russian entrepreneurs, and Russian and Belarusian technological and production plants, enterprises and research institutes.

The daughters of former Russian Defense Minister Pavel Lebedev, former Ukrainian MP Andriy Derkach, and the son of Russian businessman Yevgeny Giner were also sanctioned.
