Zelienople Area Public Library announces events

The Zelienople Area Public Library will be hosting different activities this month.

ZELIENOPLE – The Zelienople Area Public Library, 227 S. High St., has announced the following upcoming events.

Local amateur photographer Andrew Barclay will be speaking at the library at 2 p.m. Oct. 22. He will be sharing a PowerPoint of his photographs and talking about photography and giving photo tips. A program for anyone of any age interested in photography. This is part of the library's Local Showcase Series focusing on the area's talented individuals with something to share. The event is free and no registration is necessary. The series will continue in December with certified professional organizer Vickie Dellaquila when she talks about her children's book "Ophelia."

The library will hold its Casino Cash Blast, presented by Beneigh Insurance Group, from 7 to 10 p.m. Oct. 29 at the Steamfitters Event Center in Harmony. The fundraiser will include casino games, prizes, a costume contest, food and drink. This event is for the 21+ crowd and tickets are just $45 for one person or $75 for two.
