Here are some observations from Thursday's game:

More experience for the Ziaire Williams on the ball

Ziaire Williams had eight assists in his Summer League debut. The Grizzlies increased his on the ball reps in his second game, and the results weren't as good. Williams didn't look comfortable dribbling in tight spaces and often called for screens instead of drawing separation with his handle.

When Williams called for screens, it made the Grizzlies' offense more predictable. Memphis struggled as a team with ball movement. Williams played off the ball more in the second half and looked better in pick-and-roll. He finished with a team-high 19 points, but his assists dropped to two. The increased reps on the ball have showcased his shot-creation skills.

Santi Aldama finding his way

Santi Aldama is one of the potential candidates to start while Jaren Jackson Jr. recovers from foot surgery. However, the second-year forward hasn't shown enough to warrant confidence in that role.

Aldama showed his nimbleness and shooting that warranted being a first-round pick, but he had multiple occasions where he didn't finish strong around the rim. He still finished with 14 points and eight rebounds, but his six turnovers and seven personal fouls were team highs.

David Roddy boost

While most of the rookies shined on Tuesday, David Roddy took the backseat with four points and four rebounds.

On Thursday, Roddy had 16 points on 6-for-10 shooting and added five rebounds in 19 minutes off the bench. He played bully ball, rebounded and ran the floor well.
