Mar. 4—Zionsville grad All-American Katie Isenbarger has qualified for the NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships.
The championships will run March 10-11 at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Isenbarger won the Conference USA Indoor High Jump title this winter, clearing 1.80 meters (5-feet-10.9-inches). She also had a jump of 1.84 meters (6—feet-0.4-inches) to win the Bellarmine Classic.
Needing a better mark to make the NCAA field, Isenbarger went to Boston to compete in a last chance meet and cleared 1.85 meters (6-feet-0.83-inches) to earn her spot in the national field.
