A Zips Car Wash in North Myrtle Beach is closed until further notice.

A sign outside announced the business, located at 1604 Highway 17 N, had closed due to storm damage.

The closed location did not respond to a request for comment. A recorded phone message at the business repeats the same message on the sign in front of the building. The sign did not specify what damage caused the business to close.

Zips has other North Myrtle Beach car washes at 1212 Highway 17 S and 4404 Highway 17 S. Zips also has Myrtle Beach locations, including 593 International Drive, 8010 North Kings Highway, 1942 10th Ave. N.

The National Weather Service in Wilmington said Thursday that there have been no thunderstorms in North Myrtle Beach in the last three days. It is unclear when the storm damage may have occurred at the car wash location.
