Who doesn't love rice? The perfect side dish for a delicious chicken, fish, beef or veggies, it's rich in nutrients and will keep you full. But contrary to what the side of the box will tell you, trying to make it on the stovetop can sometimes be a frustrating experience, leading to either burnt, crispy grains or a watery, mushy mess. Add in the fact that different rice types require different water levels, cooking times and more, and you'll quickly come to the realization that there's no easier way to make rice and get consistent results than with a dedicated rice cooker. Our all-time favorite is the Zojirushi rice cooker NS-ZCC10, and right now, Amazon is offering it at a huge discount.

Normally priced between $188 to $240, it's currently marked down to $161.54. In our tests, we found that this top-notch model checked off all the "good rice cooker" boxes: It was efficient, had a sturdy build and—most importantly—it delivered delicious, fluffy rice, each and every time we used it. Whether we made brown rice, short-grain, white or even jasmine rice, the results were always satisfactory and flavorful. In fact, of all the rice cookers our team tested, the Zojirushi NS-ZCC10 "consistently made the best quality rice."

We also appreciated that the safety side handles on the non-stick inner pan, which made it super easy to remove the rice without burning our hands or having to dish out rice from the cooker.

As for the "fuzzy logic" in the name, this refers to a microchip inside the cooker that intelligently adjusts the temperature based on the water-to-rice ratio. That means if you mess up and put more or less of one or the other ingredient than needed by accident, the cooker will compensate for that.

In addition, there are several presets available, though they're admittedly not the most intuitive or easy to use—we had to hold the machine with one hand while pressing firmly on the buttons with the other. More useful, perhaps, is the fold-down handle and retractable power cord, which make it convenient to store the cooker or tote it from room to room. It also comes with a pair of measuring cups, non-stick rice spoon/scooper, rice spoon holder and recipes to get you started.

Don't just take our word for it, though. With more than 5,000 near-perfect Amazon reviews that give the cooker a 4.8-star rating, customers seem to agree as well.
