Zoomies, wand toys and cuddles: Meet these fun-loving pets today at area shelter

Ron Stoppable

Breed: Domestic shorthair mix, tabby

Age: 3 years old

Call us, beep us, if you want to reach us about Ron Stoppable. Much like the Disney character, he could be your faithful sidekick in your mission called life.

Ron was originally here at Wayside as a kitten and adopted shortly after his arrival. He was in his home for a while, but his owners could no longer provide him the home he truly needs, and that’s alright. He’s a pretty social guy because he just wants to be around people.

Ron also loves to play. His favorites are wand toys, so having those in the home is a must. The only thing he asks of you is to have a home without other cats. He wants to be the center of your feline universe and soak up all of that love for himself.

Marley

Marley

Breed: Great Dane mix

Age: 3 years old

Are you ready for a gentle giant? Look no further than Marley.

Marley originally came to Wayside as a stray. She was adopted fairly quickly, but had too much fun chasing the cat in the home. Now we know small, little animals are too much for Marley.

Both her adoptive and foster families had nothing but good things to say about her otherwise. She is mostly housebroken and crate trained. She can be energetic and playful, but at other times calm and gentle.

She knows lots of fun tricks, and is eager to show them off to you. Her favorite is “down.” She loves playing with her toys and cuddling on couches. She also enjoys going out to run and play, enjoying some zoomies.

Her absolute favorite thing is to lean into you for pets and soak up all the love and attention she can get. If she could be your lap dog, she would. She just can’t fit. She wants to be the center of your world, so no other dogs for her please. Her purpose in life is to be your loyal companion, so come out and meet Marley today. Please arrive at the shelter before 4 p.m. on our open adoption days to meet her.
