The Counterfeit Report has again targeted eBay as fertile ground for the $1.7 trillion global criminal enterprise of selling counterfeit merchandise.
Many Americans believe counterfeiting – like human trafficking – is only a problem overseas. Not so, says The Counterfeit Report.
“The US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) launched an inquiry when China’s government accused e-commerce giant Alibaba of selling fake goods, bribery, and other illegal activity. But, one doesn’t need to look overseas to see counterfeit product distribution, it’s right here at home in the USA.”
The self-proclaimed watchdog and consumer education website reportedly purchased hundreds of name brand counterfeit products including OTC drugs, sporting goods, auto parts, children’s toys and electronics from eBay sellers.
“The test purchases have yet to produce an authentic brand name product,” according to the site.
It’s not that eBay is without a buyers protection policy.

Cupertino haters may not like to admit it, but Apple killed it during the holiday quarter. According to Dealnews.com , it was an earnings quarter for the record books.
“Despite strong competition from its rivals, the Cupertino-based giant managed to grow its iPhone unit sales to an all-time high of 74.5 million. Mac sales also increased 14% to reach 5.5 million units.”
If there’s a weak spot in Apple’s otherwise excellent earnings report, it was the iPad . Sales of Apple's tablet dropped from 26.04 million units in Q1 of 2014 to 21.4 million units in Q1 2015 (according to the fiscal calendar). The drop came despite Apple’s efforts to create demand with its new iPad Air 2 and iPad Mini 3 .
“But Apple's weak spot is a blessing in disguise for consumers, because as our deal data shows, iPad discounts have never been better. As such, we're predicting that 2015 will be the year of the iPad deal,” says Dealnews.
Things are tough all over for the tablet market

The finest Man Caves are not built in a day. You need to claim the space, establish a theme, and plan your purchases properly. For most guys, it’s all about the big TV. A huge flat screen and a bowl of pretzels is enough for some guys to call it a day. But don’t call it a Man Cave. A Man Cave – despite its negative connotation in some circles – should say as much about the man as possible. Sports Guy? Movie Fan? Gamer? Gambler?
By looking at the sheer number of Man Cave queries in 2014 in Yahoo Search, we’ve come up with the 10 most popular Man Cave items available just in time for everything from real football to Madden. Here’s our countdown of the most searched Man Cave items on Yahoo Search.
Yahoo Search saw a 21% increase in daily searches as Americans geared up for football season a few months back.
Fans with sports-themed man caves are looking for signed jerseys, game balls and iconic photographs or posters from historic games. If you’ve ever seen the sports church in which Bill Simmons interviews guests on, you get the picture.

This year’s hottest holiday toys can be easily quantified with a quick Internet search and a little retail knowledge. Retailers, especially, are quick to create such lists because they’ve bought a ton of the items on it and want to make sure you buy them.
Toys "R" Us has a hot toys list, so does Amazon, and Target even has a countdown to Christmas clock to accompany their list. These lists are stocked with popular brands, such as Disney, Lego and Hot Wheels.
If you’re reading this, however, you probably already know what’s on the wish lists for the kids in your life. But if you’re still looking for ideas, we found a cool list from Zulily– a shopping site that promises “Something special every day.”
