Romney Santorum wins Iowa! Romney wins New Hampshire! Now who will win South Carolina?

What was once considered unprecedented--a non-incumbent Republican presidential candidate winning both Iowa and New Hampshire--turned out to be something that didn't happen. But Saturday's primary in South Carolina might lead to almost the opposite--but still unprecedented--situation: Iowa, New Hampshire and South Carolina might be won by three different candidates.

The last voters in South Carolina will cast their ballots at 7 p.m. ET. Edsall, a journalism professor at Columbia University and an online columnist for the "Campaign Stops" blog at The New York Times, is the author of The Age of Austerity: How Scarcity Will Remake American Politics.
