Liveblogging the Yahoo News/ABC News GOP debate in New Hampshire

There could be no better distillation of the long 2012 Republican presidential campaign than the weekend before the first-in-the-nation New Hampshire primary, when one presidential debate will end and another will begin within a span of 10 hours.

Saturday night's debate, the first since Michele Bachmann dropped out of the race, will be broadcast on ABC and Yahoo! and begins at 9 p.m. ET.

During the debate, read and contribute to our liveblog below, which will feature real-time discussion and analysis from ABC News and Yahoo News journalists, including: Jonathan Karl, a senior political correspondent for ABC News; Rick Klein, the senior Washington editor for ABC News' "World News with Diane Sawyer"; Chris Suellentrop, the deputy editor for blogs at Yahoo News, including the Ticket; and Z. Byron Wolf, the political editor of ABCNews.com and a deputy political director for ABC News.

Our discussion starts at 8:45 p.m. ET.

To watch the debate on Yahoo! and participate in real-time audience feedback that will be forwarded to the debate moderators, go to this page. (We'll be liveblogging there, too.)

The first debate sponsored by Yahoo News and ABC News was an unprecedented, historic event in the annals of presidential campaigning. Don't believe us? Read what Micah L. Sifry of TechPresident had to say about it.
