Detroit house explosion leaves 3 children with minor injuries
First responders are on the scene of a house explosion on Detroit's east side that left three children injured.
The Detroit Fire Department received the call around 3 p.m. Tuesday about a house explosion near the intersection of Barlow Street and East Seven Mile, said Detroit Fire Department Chief James Harris.
Fire personnel rushed to the scene and got to work extinguishing the flames at 4 p.m.
Three children from a neighboring house were transported to St. John's Hospital for lacerations and bruises.

The Fire Department is still on the scene, searching through the debris and rubble that remains of the home.
It's currently unknown whether anyone was in the house when the incident occurred.
