UPDATE: 18-year-old suspect in Savannah murder turns himself into Florida police

A man has been arrested in Florida in connection with the Feb. 10 fatal shooting near the intersection of Barnard Street and Bay Lane, according to a statement released Monday by the Savannah Police Department (SPD).

On Feb. 19, 18-year-old Rodobaldo Portuondo turned himself into the Bradenton Beach (Florida) Police Department. Portuondo was served with a murder warrant and booked into the Manatee County jail pending extradition back to Chatham County, according to the press release.
