Allegiant expands destinations out of Florida. 8 things to know about the budget airline

Several airlines fly to and from Florida, and recently, one of them, Allegiant Air , announced another new destination out of Sarasota/Bradenton airport. Others have also added new routes for 2024.
Allegiant "offers all-jet passenger service from America's favorite small cities to world-class destinations.
"We fly from smaller regional airports (and a few big ones, too). Our travelers expect great fares to great vacation areas — like Las Vegas, Phoenix, and the Orlando area — so that’s what we give them."

Allegiant offers non-stop services destinations throughout the United States and also offers charter services for Canada and Mexico.
New destinations are added regularly. Allegiant recently announced it was adding a new nonstop flight from SRQ to New York this summer.

Fares for the new flight from SRQ to New York Fares started at $79. The deadline to book a flight at that price has passed.

What about bags? What is Allegiant's policy and how much are the fees?
Allegiant's policy on baggage:
Every passenger can bring one free personal item.
Maximum size: 8x14x18 inches
You can purchase one carry-on bag per passenger
Maximum size: 10x16x22 inches
You can purchase up to four checked bags per passenger.
Each bag can weigh up to 50 pounds.
Maximum size: 80 linear inches (height+width+length)
Additional charges apply for bags over 50 pounds, sporting equipment and/or oversize baggage.

Priority access: $4 to $12.
Trip flex to avoid most change and cancellation fees:
