Officials have identified a body found earlier Tuesday along the Summit-Portage line as Chandra Maya Poudel-Rimal, a Cuyahoga Falls woman who was reported missing the morning of Feb. 21.
Wednesday update: Husband charged with murder in death of missing Cuyahoga Falls woman Chandra Poudel-Rimal
The Cuyahoga Falls Police said they have issued warrants for James Rimal, Poudel-Rimal's husband, with murder, strangulation, tampering with evidence, domestic violence, making false alarms and abuse of a corpse.
Police said Rimal is currently hospitalized and not an ongoing threat to public safety.
State and local authorities blocked off the crime scene investigation area Tuesday finding Poudel-Rimal's body in a wooded area off Middlebury Road along the Summit-Portage line.
The Summit County Medical Examiner's Office confirmed that the body had been located in what authorities consider a suspicious death, and an autopsy was planned for Wednesday.
Cuyahoga Falls were trying to locate Poudel-Rimal since her husband reported her missing the morning of Feb. 21. A police news release Saturday said officers had searched the family home and surrounding area and interviewed neighbors in an attempt to locate her.
The Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation was working at the Middlebury Road site Tuesday in the vicinity of the Summit Metro Parks Freedom Trail. Police from Stow, Kent and Cuyahoga Falls were also at the scene. The area is at the meeting point of the cities of Stow, Tallmadge and Kent.
BCI was requested by the Cuyahoga Falls Police Department to process the scene on Middlebury Road, BCI spokesman Dominic Binkley said. The investigation is ongoing.
