Fieldston closes, sells quickly

Fieldston owner Jan Perrin had retired and closed the business in January 2023 after running the restaurant for 28 years, including 22 as head chef. His initial asking price was $1.65 million.

Justin Barrett, of Waltham, bought the property in May for $1.25 million. He also owns a home on East Street in Marshfield.

The liquor license for the site is held by Stephen Barrett, who is also listed as living at the East Street address. Justin Barrett has not returned messages for comment.

The license for Beach House Hospitality LLC, of which Stephen Barrett is listed as manager, was approved by the select board in October 2022. The state Alcoholic Beverages Control Commission approved the application this past June, according to the town manager's office.

Food and entertainment licenses were approved by the board in July.
