Destruction on Thomas Drive in Panama City
At 11:10 a.m., in the 5000 block of Thomas Drive in Panama City, people were walking around checking out the damage. Some homes were severely damaged and some were completely destroyed. People took photos and videos. They were visibly shocked and saddened.

Resota Lane in northern Bay County
At least one home on Resota Lane was destroyed in the storm, and a barn near a second home was demolished. There was debris everywhere about 10:50 a.m. Tuesday.
Crews were on the road, and there were many power lines down. Debris was hanging from tree limbs.

We’re headed out to Bay County to assess storm damage. Got reports of structures impacted as the sun came up. This is a massive weather event that’s still moving through Florida. Take precautions and listen to local weather reports; this event is bringing tornados with it.

Surveying the damage
At 10 a.m. Tuesday it was drizzling and breezy in Panama City Beach. Neighborhoods such as North Lagoon Heights had some debris on the roads. People were outside picking up tree limbs and such from their yards. Some power lines were down on Scooter Drive.

Bay District Schools
Bay District Schools are closed on Tuesday. In a Tuesday morning news bulletin, school officials noted that today's school board meeting will be held at 1 p.m. as scheduled. At that time, officials hope to know what kinds of damage local schools suffered and determine whether school will be in session Wednesday.
