Fayetteville police release name of pedestrian killed Jan. 10; family sought

Editor's note: Latoya Dixon's family was located, the Fayetteville Police Department announced Thursday.

Police are seeking the family of a woman struck and killed by a pick-up truck in Massey Hill last week.

On Wednesday, the Fayetteville Police Department identified the victim as Latoya Renee Dixon, 29. Dixon was killed Jan. 10 after being struck by a Dodge Ram around 6:15 p.m.

According to police, the Dodge, driven by Iashawn Abrams, was headed west on Southern Avenue when it struck Dixon as she stood in the center turn lane near Quality Road.

Dixon was taken to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center where she succumbed to her injuries, according to the police.
