Mohawk Valley Student of the Week: See this week's winner

Student of the Week

The winner of the inaugural Mohawk Valley Student of the Week is Brynn Shepardson, a junior in the Little Falls City School District.

Shepardson received more votes than two other nominees in an online poll featured on the Observer-Dispatch and Times Telegram websites.

Here's what her nominator had to say about her:

"Brynn, a junior, is part of the National Honor Society and works hard academically, taking several advance placement classes. She volunteers as a tutor and is a peer leader to students. Students look for her guidance and input on everything, administrators said. Brynn is also a tremendous athlete and is ranked 22nd in the nation for girls wrestling."

The winner will also be published in the Sunday O-D on Jan. 28.

Local school administrators nominated students who have shown outstanding academic and school achievement and provide the details on their accomplishments below.
