No school in Worcester Monday; other districts on two-hour delay
With the region getting a foot-plus of snow, school in Worcester has been called off for Monday, while several other districts will have delayed openings.
The closing in Worcester will give road crews more time to clear streets and sidewalks after the daylong storm that continued into Sunday evening. Worcester registered 15.5 inches by the early evening.
Schools in Central Mass. opening two hours later than usual Monday include: Ashburnham-Westminster, Athol-Royalston, Auburn, Clinton, Fitchburg, Leicester, Leominster, Lunenburg, Montachuett Regional Vocational of Fitchburg, Narragansett Regional, North Brookfield, Shrewsbury, Southbridge, Spencer-East Brookfield, Sutton, Tantasqua, Wachusett, Webster, West Boylston and Winchendon.
