North Jersey schools announce delayed openings, closures for Tuesday, Jan. 16. Check the list
Snow day? Delayed opening? Remote classes? Some schools in North Jersey are altering their learning schedules for Tuesday due to snow.
The National Weather Service is predicting between 3 to 6 inches across North Jersey with the snowstorm that started Monday evening.
The New Jersey Department of Transportation warned in social posts: "Prepare for snowy conditions during the morning commute. Go slow, use caution and plan extra travel time to get to your destination safely."
Gov. Phil Murphy tweeted Monday night on X (formerly Twitter): "We are expecting heavy snowfall tonight and throughout the day tomorrow, especially in Northwest New Jersey. Icy roads are extremely dangerous. Stay off the roads if possible and be safe!"
