Here’s what is replacing the former Burger King on Route 38 in Mount Laurel

It’s a Chipotle.

The former Burger King on Route 38 in Mount Laurel — in the shopping center with Planet Fitness and Aldi — will soon be another location of the fast-casual chain of Mexican restaurants.

Bill Giegerich, Director of Economic & Community Development for Mount Laurel Township, has confirmed Chipotle will be taking the place of the Burger King.

Currently, there are no plans to tear down the building but instead, it will be fully gutted and renovated. According to Giegerich, the builders hope to have the renovations completed in a little under a year.

No other plans are in the works for the Shopping Center, but Chipotle will be the newest business behind the Starbucks that was just recently opened.
