The Mount Holly Police Department arrested a teenager they said was involved in a double homicide in December.

Zabreon Isaiah Wallace, 18, of Mount Holly, was arrested Friday in Fairmount, North Carolina. He was charged with two counts of first-degree murder and two counts of robbery with a dangerous weapon.

The charges are related to the deaths of Jaylan Marray Jackson, 19, and Jayden Dae'shun Munson, 19, both residents of Concord.

Two men were found shot in a vehicle shortly after 8 p.m. on Dec. 14 near the intersection of Dodge Street and Piedmont Avenue in Mount Holly.

They were pronounced dead at the scene.

Mount Holly Police say it was a collaborative effort that lead to the arrest.

“The Mount Holly Police Department acknowledges and extends its deepest gratitude to the U.S. Marshal's Service - Carolinas Regional Fugitive Task Force, the Belmont Police Department, and the Fairmount Police Department for their collaborative efforts that led to this arrest,” the department said in a press release Friday afternoon.

This marks the second arrest in the case.

One suspect was arrested in Union, New York, days after the shooting. The suspect’s name has not been released because he is 17.

A graduate of Concord Academy, Munson was laid to rest Dec. 20. According to his obituary, he had a passion for basketball and was attending Louisburg College in Louisburg, North Carolina.

Jaylan was a 2022 graduate of J. M. Robinson High School. His funeral was on Dec. 27.

Wallas is being held in the Gaston County jail without bond.
