The following cancellations and delays have been announced for Friday, Jan. 19, 2024, due to inclement weather.

Cancellations and delays due to snow, inclement weather

  • Washington County government is extending liberal leave for all non-essential employees throughout the entire day Friday, Jan. 19. Essential personnel are expected to fulfill their duties as usual. For more information, contact Washington County's Public Relations and Marketing Department at 240-313-2380.

  • The Washington County Museum of Fine Arts in Hagerstown is closed on Friday. The Thomas Pandolfi concert scheduled for Friday night has been canceled. Tickets will be refunded. Email Donna Rastelli at drastelli@wcmfa.org for more information.

  • Washington County Circuit Court is closed Friday.

  • Washington County District Court is closed Friday. Matters about failure to pay rent that were set for Friday will be heard on Friday, Jan. 26, at 8:30 a.m.

  • The Hancock Memorial Library is closed Friday.

  • The Clear Spring Memorial Library is closed Friday and Saturday due to building heat issues.

  • The Washington County Free Library's Fletcher Library in downtown Hagerstown is operating on a 1-hour delay on Friday.

  • The Washington County Arts Council is closed Friday, Jan. 19, due to inclement weather.

  • Frederick Community College will delay opening to 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 19. Any schedule updates will be provided by 9 a.m.

  • Berkeley County, W.Va. government offices will be closed Friday, Jan. 19, due to weather conditions. Offices will reopen for regular hours on Monday, Jan. 22. Contact the Berkeley County Commission office at 304-264-1923, for more information.

  • Franklin County, Pa. government and court offices will delay opening until 10:30 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 19. Essential personnel should report to work as scheduled.

  • All Jefferson County (W.Va.) Schools are closed Friday.

  • Washington County Public Schools will be closed Friday, Jan. 19. WCPS issued a Code Orange for employees. All WCPS buildings and facilities also will be closed until noon Saturday, Jan. 20.

  • Blue Ridge Community and Technical College on-campus activities and in-person classes are canceled for Friday. Remote work/online instruction will continue as scheduled. Critical Operations report to supervisor.

  • Morgan County (W.Va.) Schools are closed Friday for in-person learning. This will be non-traditional instructional day No. 3. Employees follow reporting Code A. All evening activities are canceled.

  • The Morgan County (W.Va.) Schools' Science Fair is canceled for Saturday, Jan. 20. For information about judging, visit https://www.morganschools.net.

  • Saint Joseph School in Martinsburg, W.Va. is closed Friday, Jan. 19. The field trip to the March for Life also is canceled.

  • Greencastle-Antrim School District schools and offices will be closed Friday, Jan. 19. This will be a flexible instruction day for students. Assignments will be posted by 9 a.m.

  • All Berkeley County, W.Va. schools, preK-12, are closed Friday, Jan. 19, 2024. Evening activities are canceled.
