Snow leads to cancellations, delays throughout area. Here's the list.

Delays and closings

The following cancellations and delays have been announced due to inclement weather.

Cancellations and delays due to snow, inclement weather

  • All schools in Jefferson County, W.Va. will be closed Wednesday, Jan. 17.

  • All Berkeley County, W.Va. schools (PreK-12) will operate on a 2-hour delay Wednesday, Jan. 17, due to anticipated road conditions. All evening Tuesday, Jan. 16, activities have been cancelled.

  • All schools in Jefferson County, W.Va. are closed.

  • Eastern Panhandle Transit Authority will operate a snow route today, with only Route 35 and Route 40 running for the day. Any questions, call 304-263-0876.

  • Washington County Circuit Court will open at 10 a.m.; staff and jurors report at 10 a.m.; court will begin at 10:30 a.m.

  • Washington County District Court will open at 10 a.m.; staff report at 9:30 a.m.; docket will begin at 10 a.m.

  • Frederick (Md.) Community College is closed. All activities will resume Jan. 17.

  • Family Healthcare of Hagerstown will open on a 2 hour delay.

  • Greencastle-Antrim (Pa.) School District is closed.

  • Mount St. Mary's University's campuses in Emmitsburg, Md. and Frederick, Md. as well as the ARCC and National Shrine Grotto of Our Lady of Lourdes, are closed for in-person activities. Classes and work by nonessential personnel will be conducted remotely. In-person classes in Emmitsburg and Frederick will meet via Zoom. Essential employees are required to report as scheduled.

  • Saint Joseph School, Martinsburg, W.Va. is closed.

  • All Berkeley County, W.Va. schools (PreK-12) are closed.

  • Liberal leave is granted for all Washington County Government non-essential employees.

  • All schools in Morgan County, W.Va. will be non-traditional learning and all evening activities are cancelled.

  • BRCTC in Martinsburg, W.Va. has cancelled all on campus activities at all locations for Tuesday due to inclement weather. Remote work and classes as scheduled. Critical operations employees report to supervisor.
