West Palm police: High-speed rollover crash on Okeechobee Boulevard kills SUV driver, 59

WEST PALM BEACH — A 59-year-old man died Monday in a two-vehicle rollover crash at an intersection along western Okeechobee Boulevard, West Palm Beach police said.

Paramedics declared William Kuebler III dead at the scene of the crash. Police said Kuebler lived in Palm Beach County but did not specify where.

Investigators said his 2004 Ford Explorer Sport Trac SUV was eastbound on Okeechobee when it struck a westbound 2020 Mazda CX-5 that was turning south onto Sansburys Way just after 9:30 a.m.

Police said the Mazda SUV had the green light, and the Explorer was speeding and had run a red light when the crash occurred. The force of the crash caused the Explorer to flip over and crash into a traffic signal pole.
