Woman dies following crash in Perry Township
PERRY TWP. ‒ A 68-year-old woman died Saturday morning following a collision on Perry Drive just north of state Route 172, the Stark County Coroner's Office said.
Diane L. Shaffer of Perry Township was pronounced dead at 9:13 a.m. The crash occurred at 8:45 a.m.
A report from the Perry Police Department said Shaffer was southbound in a gray 2015 Honda CR-V when she hit the back of a black 2020 Dodge Ram pickup that was southbound and stopped in traffic.
The driver of the truck, a 27-year-old Perry Township man, had no apparent injury.
Shaffer was taken to Aultman Hospital in Canton by Perry Township Fire Department medics.

A ruling on the cause of death is pending at the coroner's office.
Both drivers were wearing seat belts at the time of the crash.
