New breakfast, lunch spot to open in downtown Canton
CANTON – A new breakfast and lunch stop will open Feb. 5 in downtown Canton.
Trio Café will be in Huntington Bank Plaza at 220 Market Ave. S.
Owners Melissa and James Clemens are excited to be a part of the growing food scene. Both worked in Stark County for several years − Melissa for Stark County Board of Developmental Disabilities; James was a park ranger.
Melissa Clemens now works as a Realtor, while James Clemens is a police officer in Hiram.

They began their food business with a concession trailer selling pomme frites and other items, traveling from Sandusky to Painesville for various events. Engaging with customers over food became a source of enjoyment, and they decided to open a breakfast and lunch spot in downtown Canton.
The Clemenses said they believe in supporting local businesses.
“Our breads will be from Norcia bakery, our desserts from Eatz & Treatz, and our cheeses and meats from Walnut Creek Cheese,” Melissa Clemens said.
Trio Café will offer breakfast and lunch and beverages. Breakfast options include a biscuit scramble with gravy, fruit or veggie bowl, or a "Belgium waffle." For lunch, choose from a selection that includes a Reuben panini, a pulled pork sandwich or a variety of soups. Coffee, tea and other beverages will be available. A customer loyalty program will be an option for customers through their point of sale.

Hours for Trio Café will be 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday. Reach the shop at 330-956-4002.
