The family of a boy who was allegedly abducted by his own father is still looking for his dog that went missing during the incident.

Law enforcement activated Iowa's Amber Alert system after they said the 7-year-old boy was abducted by his father, Brandon Duong, on Jan. 30. Duong, who did not have custody of his son, allegedly drove the boy about two hours north before a standoff with police outside Remsen, Iowa.

The boy’s dog was in the truck during the incident, Noah’s Hope Animal Rescue, an animal rescue service in Sioux City, said in a social media post.

The grey pit bull named Clyde has been missing since the incident, the organization wrote.

“Friends of the family are saying the boy misses his dog,” the statement said.
