Here's a look at the 2024 Krewe of Hercules Royal Court

The "Houma Hammer," Gavin Joseph Dugas was a member of the LSU baseball team that won the 2023 NCAA Men's College World Series.

Dugas is a native of Houma who attended Houma Christian High School, and was part of the LSU baseball team that won the NCAA Men’s College World Series over Florida in game three of the series with an 18-4 score last June. During his time with LSU, he wore the No. 8 jersey for two seasons. Dugas was the SEC’s RBI leader, with 66. During the 2023 season, Gavin had 17 home runs and 46 RBIs.

He graduated from LSU in 2022 with a degree in sport administration. He earned SEC Academic Honor Roll in 2020, 2021, and 2022. The “Houma Hammer” was recently selected in the sixth round of the Major League Baseball draft by the Washington Nationals.

Nelson Kramer Jr. is a 1970 graduate of Terrebonne High school, who also attended Nichols State University. Nelson was drafted into the U.S. Army and is a Vietnam veteran. He has been married for 51 years, has three children and eight grandchildren. Nelson worked for Columbia Gulf for 42 years and has been retired for 10 years. He has been a member of Hercules for 34 years. He currently serves as vice president of Hercules.
