"Everybody's over Biden," said Brandon Edwards, 45, from Spartanburg as he waited for Trump to arrive at the Greenville Convention Center for his town hall with Fox News' Laura Ingraham.

"I don't care if you're a Democrat," he said. "At this point, it's like, Trump is the only option and he's gonna battle against Biden. I'm looking forward."

Edwards was one of hundreds in a line that started queuing as early as 4:30 a.m. "I don't know where the American people are politically as far as being excited anymore," he said. "In the Obama years, people were excited about politics a lot and what could happen. The Trump frenzy in 2016 was wild, especially the Republicans. Over the past six years, a lot of people are emotionally dead. Everybody's looking for a restart."

"I'm concerned about the direction of our country and that specifically, right now, we're risking our credibility in the world. Our reputation has always been for fair elections, rule of law, support NATO. What Trump has done is all against that. It's all about him, it's not about us. He might say something to the contrary, but his actions in trials speak louder than words," Carl Prestipino said.

Nikki Haley mentions her husband Michael

"I wish Michael was here today, and I wish our children and I could see him tonight," she said. "But we can’t. He’s serving on the other side of the world, where conflict is the norm. Where terrorists hide among the innocent. Where Iran’s terrorist proxies are now attacking American troops."

Voters have told the Greenville News they like Haley because she supports the U.S. military. She even asked for a moment of silence after saying her husband Michael is at the "forefront of her mind."

Nikki Haley press conference: What did she say?

Haley addressed the former and current presidents' ages: "Even if Trump and Biden weren’t too old—and again, they are—Americans still oppose them because we know what they’ll do. They’ve already done tremendous damage—and they’re just getting started."

Haley on why she's running: "I’m running for president to restore a country that’s strong and proud. That is why I will stay in the race after South Carolina votes."

Haley on why she's staying in the race: "We have plenty of time to hash this out. If the race ended today, we’d have the longest general election in history. There are still eight-and-a-half months before Election Day. Do we really want to spend every day from now until November watching America’s two most disliked politicians duke it out?" Some in the crowd answer: "Hell no!"

Haley on President Joe Biden: "First thing’s first: Joe Biden is doing more damage to himself than any Republican could ever do. Every time he opens his mouth, he sounds like his mind is closing up shop. The Democrats are getting weaker by holding a coronation for Biden. Republicans will get stronger through a vigorous competition."

Haley on President Biden: "Like most Americans, I have a handful of serious concerns about the former president. But I have countless serious concerns about the current president."

Haley on former President Donald Trump: "Now, I know what Donald Trump is saying. He wants an election with no opponent. But that’s not what voters are saying. Despite being a de facto incumbent, Donald Trump lost 49% of the vote in Iowa. In New Hampshire, Trump lost 46% of the vote. That’s not good. We’re talking about almost half our voters. What does it say about an incumbent who is losing nearly half his party? It spells disaster in November. We shouldn’t silence these voters like Trump wants. They have the right to keep speaking out."

Nikki Haley press conference: Candidate vows to keep fighting Donald Trump

GREENVILLE, S.C. — A defiant Nikki Haley said Tuesday that she will not be leaving the GOP presidential race, in spite of a pressure campaign from former President Donald Trump and his allies.

"Well, I’m not afraid to say the hard truths out loud. I feel no need to kiss the ring. And I have no fear of Trump’s retribution. I’m not looking for anything from him," Haley said during a fiery speech.

Her campaign had stirred speculation on Monday that Haley would leave the presidential race when it announced her plans to deliver a "state of the race” address. But Haley took the opportunity to instead double down on her criticism of Trump. Click here to read.

Donald Trump trounces Nikki Haley in exclusive SC poll

Donald Trump is poised to trounce Nikki Haley Saturday in her home state of South Carolina, an exclusive Suffolk University/USA TODAY poll finds, with a yawning advantage that hasn't been diminished by the former president's controversies or legal travails.

Among those very likely to vote in the state's Feb. 24 Republican primary, Trump leads Haley by close to 2-1, 63%-35%.

"The story of this poll is the depth of strength shown by Trump," said David Paleologos, director of the Suffolk University Political Research Center. The former president holds double-digit advantages among men and women, in every age group, and among both high school graduates and those with a college degree. Click here to read.
