Golf season is starting a bit earlier in 2024.

Milwaukee County Parks announced this week that three courses would either open partially or entirely amid the ongoing spring-like weather. Grant Park, one of the biggest and most popular public courses in the area, opened for the season Feb. 20.

Now, the front nine of Currie Park's, and all of Whitnall Park's, courses will open by the end of the weekend. Currie Park will open on Feb. 22 and Whitnall will open on Feb. 25.

For all three courses, no carts will be offered or allowed on the course. Players can only walk.

Milwaukee Parks said in its notices that courses will remain open as conditions permit.

Anyone interested in playing can book a tee time on the Milwaukee County Parks website. You can find the latest information and status of Milwaukee County golf courses here.

Courses have opened a few times this winter due to the unseasonably warm weather and historically low snowfall. That warm weather appears to be sticking around for the rest of February.
