Pensacola could experience record temperature Tuesday. How it compares to coldest dates.
Pensacola is forecast to break a daily temperature record overnight Tuesday into Wednesday morning as the National Weather Service (NWS) anticipates temperatures to dip as low as 20 degrees.
If that prediction holds, it will become the second coldest Jan. 17 the area will have experienced, with 1977 beating it out by three degrees.
Still, the cold Wednesday morning will be a whopping 39 degrees below the daily average temperature and 23 degrees colder than the average low.
