Outage tracker: Thousands lost power after wind-whipped storm brutalized South Jersey

Tuesday's storm delivered heavy winds that will continue into Wednesday morning.

Those winds pummeled the South Jersey region, averaging 40-60 mph across the region along with heavy rain that totaled anywhere from 2-3 inches.

The strongest winds were reported along the coast, according to the National Weather Service office in Westampton. Ocean City saw winds up to 65 mph, while the highest reported gusts reached 72 mph in Ocean County's Island Beach State Park.

With strong winds comes the risk of power outages, and the region was hit with numerous outages reports Tuesday into Wednesday between multiple different providers.
